Yesterday’s episode of Fox’s “Bones” included the almost-wedding of Angela and Dr. Jack Hodgins. As the camera was panning around the church pre-wedding, we heard in the background and then saw a harpist playing the prelude. The piece is one I’ve played, and is included in both our wedding music, and featured on a lullabies project I recently released.
It was originally a piano solo, composed by Beethoven – Adagio from the Pathetique Sonata. Quite a bit of the song was heard, a portion of it wafting from the sanctuary into another room where Bones and Booth were jawing.
Following the Adagio, there was an unusual number with a funky background track playing and the harp playing the melody. I didn’t recognize that one….
Sadly, the wedding was halted abruptly as a federal agent crashed the wedding, left the auditorium with the almost-happy couple, and announced that Angela was already married, so the ill-fated ceremony never took place.
