In addition to the standard [piano and organ], guitars and stringed instruments – violins, violas, celli, and harp seem uniquely appropriate to the wedding ceremony. Friday is solo violin day here at the studio, all day, with Samuel Lawton. Next week will be guitar – predominantly the nylon stringed “classical” guitar sound, with Sandy Williams, a talented and extremely versatile player of all instruments that are guitar – like.
I’m writing an arrangement of Here There and Everywhere by the Beatles for nylon guitar and string quartet; I may add in upright bass as well. So why am I blogging about it? Because I enjoy writing about the music! But I digress… back to work.
